Winter Truck Maintenance Special|Low Temperature Protection Guide
Winter temperatures can affect truck operation, requiring different maintenance procedures than usual. Keeping your truck in top condition during winter requires some maintenance tips. Let's learn more.
① Antifreeze of Fuel System
Diesel Selection: Use -35# diesel (such as Russia and Northeast China).
Additives: Add diesel anticoagulant (ratio 1:1000).
② Cold Start Protection
Preheating Operation:
Turn the key to the ON position and wait for the preheating plug indicator to go out (about 15 seconds).
Models equipped with Webasto preheater start 30 minutes in advance.
Battery Insulation: Cover with insulation cotton when parking at night.
③ Lubrication System Adjustment
Oil Replacement: Switch to 5W-30 or 0W-40 low viscosity oil.
Grease Supplementation: Add low temperature grease (NLGI 0 grade) to hinges and bearings.
④ Body Protection
Chassis Flushing: Rinse salt with warm water every week to prevent rust.
Wiper Antifreeze: Stand up the wiper arm at night or cover the antifreeze cover.
Emergency: If the fuel tank is waxed, use hot water to scald the fuel pipe.
