Five Key Points in Daily Maintenance of Trucks
Daily maintenance of trucks cannot be sloppy, which can effectively extend the life of the vehicle. Do you know some tips for daily maintenance? Let's learn together.
① Oil and filter replacement
Recommended cycle: every 15,000 kilometers or 6 months (whichever comes first).
Note: Use diesel engine oil of CJ-4 or higher standards (such as 10W-40 is recommended in high-temperature areas in Saudi Arabia). Replace the oil filter at the same time to prevent the old filter from contaminating the new oil.
② Cooling system maintenance
Antifreeze detection: Check the liquid level and freezing point every 3 months (130℃ high temperature type is required in the Middle East).
Water tank cleaning: Clean thoroughly once a year to prevent sand and dust from clogging the heat sink.
③ Brake system inspection
Brake pad thickness: must be replaced if it is less than 5mm.
Air brake drainage: drain the water in the air tank every week (more frequently in humid areas).
④ Tire maintenance
Tire pressure monitoring: Check once a month, the error should not exceed ±10% of the manufacturer's standard.
Tire rotation: Replace the front and rear wheels every 30,000 kilometers to extend the service life.
⑤ Electrical system protection
Battery: AGM batteries are recommended for extremely high temperature areas, and electrode corrosion should be checked every six months.
It is also necessary to establish a "Maintenance Record Sheet" to track the time and items of each maintenance.
